The Challenge

Canniant are a UK brand of premium CBD (Cannabidiol) products, including: CBD oils & capsules, CBD vapes, CBD bodycare lotions, CBD drinks and CBD pet oils.

As a new business, they required the creation of a brand identity, product packaging & label design, promotional material for print and social assets, and the design and development of an e-commerce website that allowed for international orders.

The client also required the use of QR codes on the product packaging to automatically take customers through to the online lab reports about the technical specifications of each product.

The Result

After working on the brand and product packaging design, I designed and managed the development of the Canniant website. The website was built using WordPress and a bespoke theme that included a fully customised e-commerce platform to sell the products across different categories, with automatic international currency conversions (so international visitors would automatically see their local currency), the integration of the WPML multi-lingual plugin (allowing the client or customer to change the language of the site), and the development of a bespoke affiliate sign-up form that automatically connected affiliate sales to the client merchant account.

The site was also developed to integrate with third-party online retailers via API keys, who would be able to sell products via the client’s own stock and suppliers whilst taking a percentage of each sale.
